Cynthia Marie Lummis

Cynthia Marie Lummis is an American politician and United States Senator from Wyoming, first elected in 2020. She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Wyoming and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Before her Senate tenure, Lummis served two terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (2009-2017), representing Wyoming's at-large district, where she focused on energy policy, fiscal responsibility, and agricultural issues. She also served as Wyoming State Treasurer from 2003 to 2011.

As a Senator, Lummis has become a prominent voice on cryptocurrency policy and blockchain technology, advocating for clear regulatory frameworks. She is known for her conservative fiscal positions and strong support for energy independence and Wyoming's oil and natural gas industries.
