Kathryn Sorensen

Kathryn Sorensen is a recognized expert in water policy and urban water management. She served as the Director of Phoenix Water Services, where she led one of the largest water utilities in the United States, overseeing water supply, infrastructure, and conservation programs. In her current role as Director of Research at the Kyl Center for Water Policy at Arizona State University, she advances research and policy solutions for sustainable water management in the arid Southwest. Her work bridges technical expertise with public policy, focusing on climate resilience, water equity, and innovative governance models for water resources.
