Matthew Whitaker

Matthew Whitaker is an American lawyer and public official who has held several prominent positions in the U.S. government. He served as Acting Attorney General of the United States from 2018 to 2019 and was previously the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa. Whitaker has also worked as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General and as a legal commentator. In 2023, he was appointed as the United States Ambassador to NATO, where he plays a key role in shaping transatlantic security policy and representing U.S. interests within the alliance.
