Michael Oren is an Israeli historian, author, and diplomat who served as Israel’s Ambassador to the United States from 2009 to 2013. Before his diplomatic career, Oren was a senior fellow at the Shalem Center in Jerusalem and a professor at Ben-Gurion University. He has authored several books, including 'Six Days of War' and 'Power, Faith, and Fantasy'. Oren was elected to the Knesset in 2015 and served as a Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office.
