Michael Oren

Michael Oren is an Israeli historian, author, and diplomat who served as Israel’s Ambassador to the United States from 2009 to 2013. Before his diplomatic career, Oren was a senior fellow at the Shalem Center in Jerusalem and a professor at Ben-Gurion University. He has authored several books, including 'Six Days of War' and 'Power, Faith, and Fantasy'. Oren was elected to the Knesset in 2015 and served as a Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office. His work bridges academia, diplomacy, and public policy, making him a leading voice on Middle Eastern affairs and U.S.-Israel relations.

Throughout his career, Oren has contributed to major publications and has been a frequent commentator on international television networks. He continues to lecture and write on topics related to history, diplomacy, and the Middle East.
