Roger Marshall is a U.S. Senator from Kansas, elected in 2020, and a physician by training. Prior to his Senate service, he represented Kansas's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Marshall served as an obstetrician-gynecologist in private practice in Great Bend, Kansas, and as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. His career has focused on healthcare reform, agricultural policy, and fiscal responsibility. As a Senator, he has been active on committees relating to healthcare and appropriations.
