Stanley McChrystal is a retired four-star general of the U.S. Army with over 34 years of military service. He commanded Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) from 2003 to 2008, overseeing elite special operations forces, and served as Commander of U.S. International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010.

Following his military retirement in 2010, McChrystal transitioned to the private sector as a leadership consultant and author. He founded the McChrystal Group, advising organizations on leadership, organizational design, and team dynamics.
